antici-pation
We travel on this path all night
Your heart is glowing out your palms, the only light
Your aching profile shaded by an insipid scarf
I undress me in the dark.
This is the game we will play
do not look do not turn away.
sugar racing in my
hips,
this is this is this is
it.

Re: antici-pation
I like this. It's mysterious and suggestive and surreal, and I think opaque poems like this are particularly good when short--as is this one.
I particularly like the last stanza, with its unexpected phrase of "sugar racing in my hips," and its uncommon, rhythmic, double repetition of: "This is this is this is it"
